Sedona 47 lbs. – 21.5″ tall

Sedona is a beautiful standard poodle. She is extremely affectionate and loves to give big hugs and cuddles with everyone who comes along! Sedona has an adventurous spirit and never lets a new experience go by without investigating it to the fullest. Her personality is the ideal balance between calm and cool when indoors and playful and fun when she’s outside. Her sweet expression would melt anyone’s heart. She is very loving, but she has an independent side and is okay being left alone to play with her toys or sleep the day away. Her favorite activity is definitely relaxing. She is a very calm and chilled out kind of girl!

I am also fortunate to own her brother Bosco (now retired), who is an equally amazing dog! I got very lucky with these two. They come from a highly reputable breeder in the United States whom I’ve acquired dogs from in the past. I’ve been very happy with these lines!

Sedona’s pups have never let me down. They are friendly, great natured, and stunning! My clients have given rave reviews about the amazing pups she produces.

Paris 54 lbs. – 25″ tall

Paris is a chocolate and white standard poodle who’s just as hip and beautiful as the city she’s named after. Paris is such a snuggle bug and will cuddle with anyone, any time and anywhere. She adores dogs and people but has an even greater love for children. Our kennel manager used to bring her granddaughter to work and Paris would follow her around, never leaving her side. Paris had never seen children before, and was in awe of this adorable little person. These two had an instant connection and they would snuggle together while Paris offered up plenty of kisses.

Her quiet, charming, and intuitive personality would make her an amazing therapy dog. Paris has proven to be an outstanding mother with her nurturing instincts and calm temperament, proving her abilities with one litter after another. These lovely pups are being raised to be the gentlest of souls, just like her. Playtime is important to this fun-loving gal, but she is just as content to snuggle in the grass. Blossom and Paris are inseparable and really are the best of friends.

Paris has a very well-rounded personality and beautiful looks from head to tail. My vet and groomer always comment on how stunning she is!

Odessa 50 lbs. – 23″ tall

Odessa is a breathtaking standard poodle who knows what she wants, and when she wants it. She is a girly girl in every sense of the word. I’ve never seen a dog who loves to be groomed and bathed as much as Odessa. She always likes to look her best, and will go to great lengths to avoid puddles or mud in an effort to keep her paws clean.

She is a very kind and gentle dog with a soft and loving personality. She will keep a watchful eye from a distance as the other dogs frolic and play. I know she wouldn’t want to break a nail! She enjoys being the center of attention (O-Diva) and takes every opportunity to strut her stuff. Her ideal afternoon would involve lounging on her fluffed-up bed with her favorite stuffed toy, outstretched in front of a fireplace.

Odessa is a smart girl and a fantastic mom. She is kind and nurturing with her puppies. She has produced many wonderful litters over the years and my clients couldn’t be happier!

Ella 38 lbs. – 20″ tall

Ella is a beautiful small standard poodle from Crumpet and Coco’s litter.

I have always had a difficult time finding poodles from breeders that I would want to add into my breeding program. I seek puppies whose parents have been health-tested for generations, who are well tempered, and who possess the look and structure that are important to better my breeding program. Meeting all of these criteria has been a difficult task. Whenever I thought I found the perfect addition, there was usually a reason I couldn’t add them – either the puppy didn’t pass my strict health testing, their temperament wasn’t just right, or they didn’t grow up to be what I expected. Some may say I’m a bit too selective when adding dogs to my program. I raise a lot of dogs, but only a few actually make the cut.

I finally decided to breed a litter of poodles for myself, keep and raise the puppies, and choose the top dogs out of that litter to breed. I bred two of my most prized poodles – Coco (a standard poodle) and Crumpet (a large miniature poodle) – who have everything I look for and love about the poodle breed. It was a great success and Coco had 11 amazing puppies. I hand-picked eight of those pups to raise, one of whom is Ella. I’m happy to announce that all eight of the pups I kept passed all their health testing at one year of age, which goes to prove how wonderful these lines truly are!

Ella is as sweet as pie. She’s curious and inquisitive and is constantly on guard and observing. Whenever we make funny sounds, she will stand at attention and is intrigued by what we are doing. I can tell that she is trying to figure us out, observing our every move, her head tilting back and forth. When we talk to her she dials right in, focusing on every word we are saying as if trying to understand what we are asking of her. She is so smart that I honestly believe she sometimes does understand exactly what we are saying.

The SwissRidge staff recently organized and conducted a training competition at the kennel. Ella was one of the lucky dogs selected to participate. She aced her training and we’re all impressed with how much she learned in only a few short weeks.

Ella is known as the dog that makes the funniest faces. Most of the time she carries herself as a typical standard poodle and is a spitting image of her mother, Coco, only in a smaller package. The rest of the time, she is pulling some pretty strange faces. Sometimes it’s a really adorable and goofy head tilt, sometimes her lip is higher on one side than the other, and other times she does a half grin that turns into a full-blown smile. You also can’t overlook the classic expression where her tongue is flopping out of the side of her mouth…while her mouth is closed! I think that one is my favorite.

Ella is loving and affectionate, but she also has an independent streak. She loves romping around with the pack, returning for an affectionate pat from her humans, and is equally happy to lie in the yard playing with her favorite toy. She adores toys! They are her most prized possessions, especially the soft, squeaky toys that she can carry around, squeaking to get the attention of all the other dogs. She is quite the character! She keeps us all laughing and is guaranteed to cheer you up on your gloomiest of days.

Coco 66 lbs. – 24.5″ tall

Coco is a stunning black-and-white standard poodle, who I purchased from a reputable breeder with lines of well-bred and health-tested parents.

As littermate and big sister to Valentino (now retired, but one of my studs for a long time who produced amazing pups), she has been a great role model for him. Valentino always looked to Coco for support and if he saw that Coco was trying something new or trusted someone, he was always right behind her. I believe that Valentino is the confident, social male he is today because of Coco’s good example.

As for Coco herself, she’s the life of the party! Playful, loving, affectionate, confident, and social, she is great with all the other dogs and every human she encounters. She enjoys any opportunity to strut her stuff and has the poodle prance down to a fine art! It’s fun to watch her tease the males with her charm and good looks.

Coco exudes charisma and positive energy. She’s very intelligent, picks up any command with ease, and is very eager to please. Coco really is the total package and such an asset to my breeding program! She has produced many amazing puppies whom all my families can’t say enough good things about.

Ulia 80 lbs. – 23.5″ tall

Ulia is a beautiful Bernese mountain dog. Her parents are Nellar and Duc. Duc was imported from a phenomenal kennel in France. I traveled there myself to hand-pick him from my choice of a few litters. Nellar was bred at my mother’s kennel. Her parents are Veruschka, who was imported from an award-winning kennel in Slovakia, and Daiko, who was imported from Belgium over a decade ago and became a Canadian champion before his first birthday! For more information on these dogs, you can visit my mother’s website at moorsbernese.com.

As you can see, Ulia has a very impressive pedigree filled with dogs who we hand-picked from some of the top Bernese mountain dog lines throughout Europe. We have owned her lines for three generations and her puppies will be the fourth generation.

For the first 16 months of her life, Ulia was living with a foster family. Her foster mom, Michelle, describes her as extremely loyal and her demeanor as that of a gentle bear cub. She loves playing with other animals. But don’t let her size fool you! She would never hurt a fly and often would play with smaller dogs, encouraging them to the point that they would be the ones chasing after her! Ulia also loves children and warms up to them quickly. She truly is an amazing family dog.

This is one girl who knows how pretty she is! She rarely lets a mirror or glass pane go by where she’s not taking the time to check herself out. And if you have a camera on hand, she will stop what she is doing to pose for you. She’s such a ham! Because of that we have more pictures of Ulia than anyone else! Ulia loves her walks and when we pick up the leash and tell her “park,” she tilts her head back and forth and is so excited to go for a walk to the park.

Ulia will be a great mom and will have beautiful puppies. Her disposition and her love for others are second to none. She is now back at the kennel and has adjusted very well. She and her sister Noelle have been reunited and they romp in the fields throughout the day. When she’s finished her breeding career, she will go back to her foster family, who I know will welcome her with open arms.

Tubbers 85 lbs. – 25″ tall

Tubbers is a stunning Bernese mountain dog out of my mother’s lines, and is the third generation bred at her kennel. We have been hand-selecting only the best Bernese to breed over the last decade. Her parents are Willow and Duc. Duc is a stunning dog, imported from an award-winning kennel in France. I had the opportunity to visit the kennel and hand-pick him from the litter. Duc’s lines are health-tested over five generations back, so this kennel is only breeding the best. They also participate in cutting-edge genetic research testing for cancer markers in the breed. This research is so important and since many of these tests are not available in Canada, I often go overseas when expanding my lines. Willow is from my mom’s lines and bred right at her kennel. She is an amazing, loving, calm, and very social girl. For more information on these dogs, you can visit my mother’s website at moorsbernese.com.

Tubbers is from very strong, healthy, and well-tempered lines that I have had the privilege of knowing for many generations. There is so much more to breeding dogs than putting two dogs together and seeing what happens. It is of utmost importance to be selective in the process and well informed of a dog’s pedigree. When I look at the lineage, it is important for me to look at health and structure, and to learn as much as I can about the dogs’ temperaments as well. Bernese are known to have several health problems, so it’s critical for a breeder to conduct extensive research into the pedigree. All of the dogs that make up these lines have been imported from the best kennels around the world, including kennels in France and Slovakia. I decided to keep three puppies – Cuddles, Tubbers, and Texas – from this litter because of how much I adore their parents.

Tubbers is a beautiful, lively, and elegant girl. When she was a young pup she was a big cuddle bear who loved her kibble, hence the name Tubbers! At eight weeks, she was so big I had a hard time lifting her. I worried that she would eat herself sick, but it’s what this growing girl needed to turn out to be the amazing dog she is today. This girl could win any pageant – she has grown into such a looker with an amazing personality to boot! She is strong, playful, loving, and affectionate. She has a very strong attachment to her sisters. They romp and play and wrestle all day long, adoring each other more than words can express. Tubbers is extremely intelligent and catches onto her training very quickly. She loves learning new tricks and commands. She is a social butterfly with a zest for life!

Texas

85 lbs. – 25.5″ tall

Texas is a stunning Bernese mountain dog out of my mother’s lines, and is the third generation bred at her kennel. We have been hand-selecting only the best Bernese to breed over the last decade. Texas is a beautiful girl with a regal stature. She stands tall and proud and loves to show off her stride to anyone willing to watch. Texas has a vibrant personality and likes to be the center of attention. She is a big teddy bear who wants love and to please her humans. She is a quick study, and enjoys any interaction time with dogs or people. She is very smart, coming in 2nd place in our training competition that we had at the kennel. She is calm and collected most of the time, except when she is racing around the yard with her doggy friends. She loves to run and play with her best friend and sister Cuddles, and then cools off with a nice hose shower. Texas is a loyal girl, and is very curious. Quite often she forgets her size in comparison to mine, and I find myself with a 100-pound lap dog! Her personality is as big as she is, and I can’t wait to see what this girl will accomplish and what wonderful surprises she will give me throughout the years.

Prada 85 lbs. – 23.5″ tall

Prada is a fun, playful, and bubbly female from my mom’s breeding program. She is large, but gentle and docile, always wanting to please. She lacks the stubborn streak we’ve seen in some Bernese, which makes her easy to control. She has the classic Berner lean and when she does it, believe me, you feel it! If Prada puts all of her weight on me, I will literally fall over! This girl loves being petted so much that she will close her eyes and grunt in satisfaction.

Prada’s parents are Nellar and Dominique. Dominique was imported from France and is registered with the FCI in France and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). His father is a French champion, and there are many other champions in his background. Nellar is an outstanding female with excellent conformation and an outgoing personality. My mom also owned Nellar’s parents, Daiko and Veruschka, who were imported from Europe as well. You can learn more at moorsbernese.com. We know these lines inside and out, and have researched Prada’s lines seven generations back!

Pandora 104 lbs. – 21.5″ tall

Pandora was my pick of the litter from one of my mom’s highly sought-after litters by Nellar and Dominique. I simply can’t resist this combination and keep coming back for more! Pandora is everything I look for in a Bernese in terms of structure, appearance, color, and personality. She has the perfect markings and a perfect build.

Dominique was imported from a fabulous kennel in France. We waited about a year for this incredible dog from their lines. He is registered with the FCI in France and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). His father is a French champion, along with many other champions in his lineage. Pandora’s mother is Nellar, who was bred by my mother. Nellar is a strong-boned female with excellent conformation and an outgoing personality. Nellar’s parents are European imports with long and impressive pedigrees. You can learn more about them at moorsbernese.com.

Pandora is puppy-like in her personality, even though she’s a big girl now. She has lots of love and energy to share with everyone. Boisterous, yet cuddly, she loves showering her family with lots of affection. When she’s not snuggled up with someone, she can be found frolicking in the backyard. I enjoy watching her throwing sticks in the air and then pouncing on them when they hit the ground. When she comes inside for some one-on-one time, she’s very calm, gentle, and relaxed. She happily greets all visitors at the door, and is overjoyed when kids come over. Like most Berners, she understands that she needs to be gentle with little ones and her intuition is on point. Her canine best friend is Maggie, a mini bernedoodle. They are inseparable and just the cutest duo you’ve ever seen!

As with all dogs coming out of my mom’s program, Pandora’s ancestors have been checked many generations back. Her puppies come from strong lines free of genetic bone disease, heart problems, and eye problems.
