Puppy Testimonials

Lula
Owners: Rosa Maria Valdes – Oakville, ON
One year ago, this sweet girl came into Emi’s life, and she has been a true blessing. She arrived just a few weeks before the lockdown, and with everything closing, we had to stop all the therapies my son was doing. We were concerned he might regress, as we had seen happen in other cases.Last week, he was evaluated, and they were surprised by how much he has progressed, even with all the therapies we had to stop. I would say he has had the best companion in Lula, his service dog.
Pictures are not enough to capture everything I’d like to show, but there is no doubt he has the perfect reading buddy, a friend to play with, a companion for walks, someone to hug when he feels anxious, a classmate for virtual learning, a weighted blanket to sleep with, and so much more.
Thank you, Lucas, Sherry, and Karley—you are truly changing the life of this little boy.

Maui
Owners: Shelley Kranjac – Oakville, ON
Bringing Maui into our family has been one of the greatest joys of our lives, and we owe it all to SwissRidge and the incredible Sherry Rupke. We’re a family who grew up with kids begging for a dog for as long as we can remember, and during Covid we finally decided it was time. We dreamed of a puppy who would not just fit into our home, but truly become part of our family-and that’s exactly what we found.
From the very first conversation, Sherry was nothing short of amazing. She’s unbelievably knowledgeable, thoughtful, and intelligent when it comes to her breeds. You can feel how deeply she cares about every single puppy she raises. She guided us through the entire process with so much patience and warmth, answering every question and sharing insights that only someone with her level of expertise could provide. It was obvious from the start that SwissRidge is on a different level when it comes to ethical, responsible, and loving breeding.
And then came Maui-our little mini Australian Bernedoodle angel. She has changed our lives in every way imaginable. Maui brings endless joy, laughter, and comfort into our home. She’s playful, gentle, smart, and has the sweetest personality. We can’t imagine our family without her now; she truly completed us.
SwissRidge and Sherry gave us not just a dog, but a once-in-a-lifetime family member. We’re forever grateful for the care, passion, and love that went into bringing Maui into the world and ultimately into our arms. If you’re looking for a breeder who genuinely pours their heart into what they do, we can’t recommend SwissRidge and Sherry Rupke enough. They changed our world and Maui continues to make every single day brighter.

Max
Owners: Reanette Frobouck – Pittsburgh, Pa/Vero Beach, Fl
I was so lucky to find Max in the available dog section. He was born on June 25 and had 2 months of imprint training and I decided to have him stay for another month. He came to me,via Erie, Pa, on November 14. It was a happy and exciting day.
Max has been the best dog in every way. Perfectly crate trained, potty trained and nice manners. The best part is he is so loving and sweet and extremely handsome. I live in a golf community during the winter so we are out and about quite a lot. It is a rare day that someone doesn’t stop and ooh and ahh over him. They want to know his breed and where he came from. I always give them the full advertisement. He loves everyone and also all other dogs. Never barks at golf carts or bikes or joggers. A treat to walk. He has brought tons of love and joy into the house. I feel blessed to have him. My sister has heard so much about Max that she is in line for one.
Thanks you for this wonderful little guy.

Waffle
Owners: Stephanie – Oakville, ON
We feel so happy and lucky with Waffle. She’s practically silent and hardly ever makes a peep, which is wonderful for working from home. She watches the world go by at the window so nicely—people walking, dogs, delivery drivers, squirrels—no problem. She happily plays with her toys and hasn’t touched our shoes or furniture (so far)! She’s also wonderful at sleeping through the night and even likes to sleep in. We always have to wake her up, and if she’s already awake, she just waits quietly in her crate. Amazing. I honestly couldn’t take the chance of getting a more perfect dog.

Piper
Owners: Erin Byrne
Our girl Piper is the best! She will be turning 15 this December. Her sweet disposition has made her a favorite among our friends and the best big sister to our boys (ages 11 and 9). SwissRidge truly breeds the best dogs, and I am forever grateful for her!

Kuki
Owners: Kim family – Greenwich, CT
Kuki is like a person in a dog’s body. We adore this crazy eyed gentle, goofy soul. He amazes us every day.
He is still a puppy, but we see so much calm chill dog he will become when he grows out of puppyhood, like he was described when he was little. Kuki is goofy, sweet, affectionate, sometimes too smart, sometimes stubborn, and so chill. He doesn’t care much about other people, but loves other dogs, car rides, apples, his dog hiking group, and belly rubs. He forgets how big he is and will try to fold himself onto my lap for belly rubs!
He is a chocolate thunder and loves to run around the yard several times a day, and he is fast!
He is so easy to train, very food motivated and willing to please. He looks hilarious when he knows he’s doing well and is getting lots of praises and affection.
We’ve had many dogs in our lives, but Kuki is the best we’ve had. We wish everyone in their lives to own their own ‘Kuki’! People fall in love with his looks, then once they interact with him, with his loving nature.

Charley Bear
Owners: Staci DePatie (Thousand Oaks, CA)
Charley Bear is a handsome Swissridge born on July 20th, 2018. His parents are gorgeous Willow and stunning Levi. When I reflect on Charley Bear’s most amazing affect, there are no words to truly describe this beautiful creature. His gentle hugs to his sweet eyes (with long eyelashes that any girl dreams of) and adorable personality puts a smile on anyone’s face that greets him. He is patient when he needs to be, playful at any given time, and puts his heart out there when any of our family needs just a simple hug and affection. He is already an emotionally support dog in our eyes and plan to get that in writing in the near future. As my mother unfortunately has severe Alzheimer’s and when I visit her, I bring Charley Bear and his presence lights up the room regardless if the patients can’t communicate their happiness when he is there. Besides putting a smile on my mom’s face, it also alleviates the stress when I go there to visit. As my dad is also facing the incredible loss of my mom not being there everyday and they have to live in separate places, Charley’s gentle ways truly helps my dad emotionally and mentally. Charley just makes our house complete. Our two boys have such a greater sense of compassion and their hearts our bigger because of Charley Bear. He knows just how to be there when we most need him. Our hearts are more full and the beauty he embraces makes life a lot sweeter. We feel honored that we are part of the Swissridge family and we get to hold on to these precious moments with Charley Bear. It is dreamy as we have waited 10 years for this breathe of fresh air and the enormous amount of unconditional love that he gives back.

Hazel
Owners: Casey Colons
Where to even begin? We could not be HAPPIER with our new puppy. If you haven’t figured it out, we named her Hazel when she arrived at our house back on October 6th. Since then, our lives have completely changed… for the better!
Hazel’s adjusted to life in Texas very quickly and we’ve adjusted to having a puppy in the house! She had very few issues with potty training and was completely trained within one month. She’s learned basic commands such as sit, down, come, leave it, and place. We have a trail near our house that she loves and everyone in the neighborhood loves her. We found another Bernedoodle, Bogey, who lives only a few streets away. He is a few days older than Hazel and they’ve become fast friends.
Hazel’s temperament could not be sweeter. She is gentle with people of all ages. She loves to have her belly rubbed and has become a good snuggler lately. Don’t worry, she still sleeps in her kennel. She is very smart and a huge goofball. She loves her exercise but is exceptionally calm 95% of the time. She still has her puppy energy but her temperament is exactly what we requested. It is crazy how well she fits with us. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful new addition to our family. We are completely in love with Hazel.

Luna & Bisou
Owners: Amanda and Zack Noble
We were blown away by the beautiful, tricolored Bernedoodles on the SwissRidge website – we just had to have one as our first family dog! After months of emails, we were overjoyed to join the waitlist. In the meantime, we joined the incredible SwissRidge Facebook group and the anticipation killed us!!! We couldn’t wait a year for our standard tricolored Bernedoodle, so Mellonie recommended we join the SwissRidge Doodle and Golden Mountain Doodle waitlists, which were shorter. A couple of months later, we were matched with our Luna, a butterscotch colored pup from the second litter of SwissRidge Doodles. She was so adorable, and her personality seemed to really fit our lifestyle. We realize now that Luna is the total package – she is affectionate, full of life, very sociable, sweet, and loves to snuggle. She adapts well to new situations and has been easy to train. We were really happy that we decided to enroll her in two months of imprinting before we picked her up; we felt that it gave her a great head start when it came to crate training, sleeping through the night, and obeying commands. She recently passed her Canine Good Citizens test, and we look forward to advancing to therapy dog classes soon!
Less than a year later, we got that wonderful email from Mellonie- a litter of Standard Bernedoodles had been born and one of them was going to join our family! It took some time to convince Zack that we “needed” another dog… but this was the bernedoodle that we had been waiting for! We were ecstatic and knew that bringing home a puppy would only enhance Luna’s life. Without hesitation, we enrolled our Bisou in one month of imprinting; since she is a bigger dog, we didn’t want to miss the early puppy stage and we felt more prepared this time around.
Like with Luna, we picked up Bisou from SwissRidge Kennels and drove back to PA. She was a joy to have as a passenger in the car and still is today… inquisitive, yet calm. We were excited for Luna and Bisou to meet and the introduction went better than we could have imagined. The two are inseparable! Luna’s tail has not stopped wagging since we brought Bisou home. Luna has learned how to share and set a good example around the house. With help from Luna, Bisou quickly learned our routine. Luna sleeps next to Bisou’s crate at night, they share their toys- and parents- without question, and chase each other around all day. It was certainly an adjustment at first, but having two SwissRidge dogs has been a pleasure.
Besides the fact that she is strikingly beautiful, Bisou is silly, easy-going, loving, obedient, and kissy. We love that the girls have different personalities, but they definitely bring out the best in each other. They are truly members of our family.
We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with SwissRidge Kennels, specifically Sherry and Mellonie. They answered any and all of our questions, followed up once we were home, and shared updates during imprinting, which are the best! We are constantly amazed at how well- behaved, intelligent, and adorable our SwissRidge girls are… everything you could want in a dog! Thank you so much for matching us with our perfect doodles- we absolutely love them.

Persey
Owners: Amanda Van Wingerden
Persephone aka Persey is a standard bernedoodle from Coco & Duc born January 27, 2015. She is a gorgeous girl with a gregarious personality. She has brought so much joy to my life and I couldn’t imagine life without her. She’s always up for any adventure whether it be hiking, swimming, going to the mall, coming to work with me, or heading to the dog park to play with her friends. She loves being social and the center of attention.
Persey has a special place in her large heart for children and one of her most recent endeavors is sharing her certified therapy dog skills with 3rd and 4th graders at the local elementary school who struggle with reading. The kids loved having the opportunity to meet her and give her love as well as read her a few stories. Although she’s only 2 she did a great job and the kids adored her! Her and I are very excited to start this venture and hope that we can expand our efforts into the middle school and high school as well.
Persey is a smart, feisty, happy & energetic girl and I can’t thank Sherry and the staff at SwissRidge for all their help in getting me such a fantastic dog! I look forward to many more adventures with her and another doodle sister in the future, because SwissRidge dogs are so wonderful you can’t just have one ;)

Blizzard & Zolo
Owners: Karley Gittens – Oakville, ON
I have a 12-year-old standard Bernedoodle and a 13 year old mini Goldendoodle from Sherry, and they have been happy, healthy, fun, and gentle souls for our family. Both of their temperaments are exactly what I asked for. I requested the “laziest and calmest of the litter,” and that is precisely what I got. I used to take them into my Dad’s memory care unit and they acted like therapy dogs there. Blizzard is beautiful (even still at age 12) and truly striking dog; no matter where we go, people stop us to ask about him. Zolo still acts like a puppy at times!
My experience with Sherry has been exceptional from start to finish—from the initial application process, answering all my zillion questions, to bringing my puppy home, and even throughout the years with her ongoing, lifetime support. Her dedication to producing healthy, well-tempered dogs is unmatched, and it shows in every aspect of her breeding program. I would highly recommend Sherry to anyone looking for an incredible family dog. She is truly the best of the best.” Karley Gittens — karley.gittens@gmail.com

Bumble
Owners: Sabeena Arora
Bumble is an a Standard English Goldendoodle from Aurora (mom, english golden retriever) and Hendrix (standard poodle)
She is my first pup as an adult. I had wanted a dog for a long time, but while I was still in school and then in training, I felt the pup would be alone for unfair periods of time.
Training completed, I was still uncertain about caring well for a pup with my long hours at work. Then, nearly four years ago, I was on vacation and I made up my mind, or it made itself up! I was ready. After a long search, I happened upon the Swissridge website. I knew this was where my pup would come from. I filled out the application, that entailed figuring out what kind of pup did I want? A sweet cuddly girl pup who would run with me outdoors, relax with me indoors and enjoy people, children and other pups.
Once the litter was born and the 4 week pictures were posted, there was this one pup I kept staring at, female #6. Sherry emailed me, said this little girl “was social, playful, loving and smart. That she loved to cuddle”. And she was going to be mine!! I named her Bumble. I requested she stay at SwissRidge for 4 weeks of imprinting, to get her started on basic commands and potty training.
I will actually never forget my drive to our local airport to pick up my new puppy. The anticipation! And nervousness! What would she be like? Would we bond? What would my life be like hence? The Air Canada flight had arrived, I waited at cargo. This plastic crate arrived, amidst the usual hustle and noise of a busy airport. I peeped in. There was this quiet golden pup with big eyes quietly looking back at me. So much for worrying. I was already deeply connected.
I brought her home, she visibly relaxed as soon as she felt the grass under her paws in her backyard.
Over the next several days, weeks and months we spent hours playing together. She was a happy cuddly and smart puppy.
In fact, Bumble was and is the smartest pup I have had or met. She potty trained in 2 weeks, learnt food, water and various commands just as quickly. It was fun to watch her figure out how to convey what she wanted. She was very gentle, but…she certainly knew what she did not want! It is a combination that makes me laugh to this day.
Sherry had said to me: “talk to her, she will surprise you with how much she will learn”. Words that certainly came true! When we were out walking, even on streets we had never walked, she demonstrated she understood “cross the street” or “this way” at cross roads. At home she quickly learnt that when she came in with muddy paws, “wash” meant she had to walk to the bathtub and climb in – something she thankfully enjoyed!
She learnt “bye bye” meant I was leaving for work and she would take her toy and head to my room.
When learning to have her nails clipped or tangles combed out – activities that made her nervous, she would simply stand up, put her front paws in my lap, put her chin on my shoulder and push her chest into mine. Really, who needs words to communicate! Once reassured, she would sit back down and we would continue.
Bumble was and is a gentle quiet pup indoors. Always polite with all my friends, she especially loves children. She seeks them out to gently nuzzle their little hands. She sits in front of them almost as if she invites them to pet her.
But if there is one thing Bumble loves, it’s being outdoors. She loves running, exploring and retrieving. She is friends with lots of other pups and while she is happy hanging out with her canine friends outside, she is just as happy being outdoors by herself if I’m around, in her backyard chasing bunnies and tracking wildlife.
Her best friend was and is Leo, my neighbor’s pup. When Bumble was 18 months old, my neighbor brought home a second pup. Bumble would stand for nearly an hour every night in her yard, staring at Leo’s window, waiting for her little buddy to come out and play. It was heartbreaking to watch. So I filled out the swissridge application a second time, this time requesting a standard bernedoodle boy, a baby brother for my lonely Bumble. And so arrived Magic, my second pup! Social, gregarious, goofy and the perfect foil to his gentle, polite older sister! I have described Magic in detail in the standard bernedoodle section.
Bumble was surprised at his arrival. For the first 2 weeks, she needed to keep checking in that she was still loved and special, needed extra cuddles and alone time with me. They have bonded very well and Bumble has been enormously helpful in training Magic who follows her lead. They play all day long, and of course, she is no longer lonely! So much for my planning to never have have 2 pups, it is the best decision I made for Bumble, and I! Incidentally Leo and his little sister Mae, and Bumble and Magic have gone on to become best buddies.
All I can say is the only thing better than having a swissridge goldendoodle – and believe me they are very very special, is to have both a Swissridge goldendoodle and Bernedoodle ;)!
SwissRidge pups really are so easy to raise. They are very bright, calm, eager to learn, playful and affectionate. Their pedigrees are thoroughly vetted, their parents’ temperament and health are guaranteed, and the pups’ temperaments are …kind of irresistible. Good luck on your journey with your Swissridge pup’s!

Dakota
Owners: The Robersons – Brentwood, TN
My family has begged for a dog for years. Everyone was on board except me as I did not grow up with dogs and did not think our on-the-go family could take on such a responsibility. My children are now 14 (Gracie), 13 (Hannah), and 11 (TJ), and I started to realize I didn’t have a baby anymore to nurture. A friend emailed me a picture of a puppy a couple of years ago that I always held on to because I knew if the family ever won out on the puppy debate, THAT would be the puppy I would want! Turns out it was a Bernedoodle from SwissRidge! I finally caved in, and I emailed Sherry and inquired about this breed. She suggested I read her book, which is all about Bernedoodles. So I read it, twice! I did lots of research and asked lots of questions. I became one of the many fanatical stalkers on the SwissRidge Facebook page and that is where I learned just how beautiful, smart and awesome Sherry’s Bernedoodles really are.
TJ, my son, was leading the campaign with the every day begging and nagging for a puppy! My husband, Tim, kept saying every boy that wants a dog should be able to grow up with a dog. We decided to take the plunge and put a deposit down for a Bernedoodle. I knew by all the testimonies on the Facebook page that I could rest easy and know Sherry would find the perfect puppy for our family. At one point, Sherry posted a puppy who was born without an ear, and TJ wanted THAT puppy and no other! We were too late and another lucky family got that puppy and named him Lefty! TJ sent Sherry a video explaining how he really wanted that puppy and if anything fell through would she please consider him! It made my heart very happy that all three of my children wanted Lefty…though he was born with a slight imperfection, he was perfect in the eyes of my children.
So we continued to wait and we let Sherry know that though we wanted a mini, we would be happy with a large tiny or even a small standard Bernedoodle. The longer you wait, the more flexible you become because the waiting gets harder and harder. One day I was stalking the SwissRidge Facebook page (as usual) when I saw a post from Sherry for a turn-key dog. She was simply the cutest puppy we’d ever seen! So Sherry and I discussed what a turn-key dog was, and with our busy schedules, it sounded like the perfect fit for our family. The only problem was TJ REALLY wanted a PUPPY! I called Sherry back and basically asked her if there was any way she could work with us on the time frame of getting this puppy and the amount of training she would have. Sherry worked with us and the rest is history!
Dakota came to us crate and potty trained. Her temperament is beyond amazing. I’m pretty sure she thinks she’s a human. I’m beginning to think she is too! She has a wonderful personality, and she is so smart! We only had Dakota five days when I had to go to an event, and I made Gracie in charge of her for the evening. Gracie texted me to tell me that Dakota went to her potty door and before she could get off the couch to let her out, Dakota took the bells off the door and dropped them in her lap. I mean how smart is smart???
I can’t say enough about the whole process. From putting down your initial deposit to the waiting and waiting, I would go the SwissRidge route every single time! I would also highly recommend the imprint training program or some sort of training through SwissRidge as it makes the transition so much easier. Dakota has brought nothing but blessings to our family so far! Even my two teenage daughters that were always in their rooms are now hanging out downstairs, so they can be with Dakota.
Thank you Sherry and everyone at SwissRidge Kennels for making it possible for us to have our new family member!”

Masey
Owners: The Siragusasas – Pennsylvania, USA
When we first decided on a Bernedoodle we were convinced that we wanted a puppy with the typical black/brown/white markings of a Berner. After we saw Maisy, however, we realized that we were so wrong! This fair-haired beauty won our hearts immediately. We absolutely love her wavy golden coat and white tuxedo accents. Once Sherry confirmed that her personality was a fit for us we couldn’t wait to get our hands on her.
We decided we couldn’t handle all of the training ourselves though and thankfully we decided to enroll her in the Imprint Program first. Having her show up with this initial training completed made the transition so much easier. Even as a puppy she rarely nibbled on fingers, grabbed shoes or clothes to chew on and didn’t attempt to run away or tug when she was told to ‘drop it.’ Her crate training was excellent; she went in the crate without an argument and slept through the night without a fuss on the very first night.
Maisy settled in with our family right away. She greeted our daughters on day 1 as if they were old friends and she shares her love equally with all the family members. She’s an intelligent, sensitive and affectionate girl. Her sweetness has earned her the middle name ‘Sugar’ from our daughters and her bounding gallop spurred the nickname ‘Little Bear’ from Dad. Maisy is very curious about every living creature she comes in contact with but is never aggressive in any way. She always has a smile on her face and her tongue hanging out of her mouth.
Many thanks to the whole team at SwissRidge for delivering on all of their promises. We are thrilled with our Maisy. She has made our family complete.

Heidi
Owners: The Levys – Chicago, IL
Heidi is a mini bernedoodle out of Daisy and Eddie’s litter. She was born April 2009. She is owned by the Levy family in Chicago, IL. Mike and Rebecca say: “Heidi has been everything we expected and more. She’s as cute as can be, very smart, and full of personality. She mastered several commands within weeks of getting home, and we’re still stopped everywhere we go (everyone asks about her!). She’s known at the park as the ‘Fun Director’ as she always makes sure everyone is having a great time. SwissRidge has done an absolutely wonderful job in breeding these dogs. Heidi has been the absolute perfect mix; she’s fun and she LOVES curling up on the couch next to us at night.

Motley
Owners: Jamie Amel – St. Catharines, ON
This is Motley – he lives in St. Catharines, ON, with Jamie and Billy. He is a mini bernedoodle from Sheena and Pickle (08-27-12). He is about 50 lbs. but thinks he is a 5 lb. lap dog. He has a wavy coat.
Some words we would use to describe Motley are affectionate, happy, goofy, friendly, smart, easy-going and lazy. He is very laid-back. He loves to sleep in and relax but will run around and play when the time is right. The cottage in the summer is his happy place where he will run around and swim and play like crazy. He loves to go for boat cruises.
He is super smart, was very easy to train and has always been a huge love bug. He loves to snuggle. Almost every morning when our alarm goes off he knows he can come into bed so he will quietly come into our room and put his paws up and wait for a boost. He has the most expressive human-like eyes that completely make my heart melt.
Motley has been coming to work with me since he was 9 weeks old, which has made him extremely social with people of all ages, shapes and sizes. He loves everyone and is not shy to lean on a stranger or sit on their feet. He is our office greeter and official mascot. Every person that comes into the office or meets him absolutely adores him. He is literally a celebrity around my office and in our neighborhood. When we are out and about we get stopped constantly with people wondering what kind of dog he is and then commenting on how awesome he is.
Because of his laid-back nature and incredible social skills we decided he would make the perfect therapy dog. He passed his CGN test in April and has proved himself to be an amazing therapy dog on the few visits we have been on so far. Motley is our first dog and we could not imagine life without him! Sherry picked the perfect puppy to fit our family. He makes us smile and laugh every day and we couldn’t love him more!
I love talking about Motley and about SwissRidge and the amazing job that Sherry Rupke does! I couldn’t imagine getting a dog from anywhere else.

Maia
Owners: The Connors – Toronto, ON
In short, she is amazing! We are very pleased with how she is fitting in with our family. The boys love her, as do my husband and I. I was not expecting any therapeutic benefit from her until she was older and a little more trained, but we were pleasantly surprised to see our five-year-old’s anxiety and independence improve within the first few weeks.
On a funny note, Owen went around and told everyone that Maia is a rescue dog. I couldn’t help but laugh, as an expensive dog is the exact opposite of a rescue. When I explained to him that we did not rescue her, he looked up at me and softly said, ‘No, mama. I mean she rescues me.’ It was a very sweet moment that perfectly sums up how he feels about his dog.
Maia is very emotionally intuitive. When one of the boys are in pain she immediately crawls into their lap and burrows her head in their neck. We did not train her for this, rather it is something she has done since the day she came home. She seems to know the difference between angry/tantrum cry and hurt cry. When they are fighting or mad, she does not climb on them but rather sits next to them and waits it out. Her natural response to the emotional energy in the room is very neat to see.
On a training front – her trainer is VERY impressed with her. She is very eager to please and is picking things up quickly. She is doing remarkably well. She is doing the classic commands ‘come’ ‘sit,’ ‘down’ and ‘stand.’ We are also using ‘touch’ as an alternative to come, where she must come and touch her nose to your hand. She is working on reverse call, where I hold her and tell her who to go to, and then she must find them. She is also working on extended ‘stay’ and depending on the day and her mood is up to two minutes. She is learning hand signals for down and sit, as well as heel and switching sides on command. She is good at ‘leave it’ and we are able to successfully place treats on each on her paws while she waits for permission to eat them. She is very well behaved in public and has earned her ‘service dog in training’ vest! We should receive it next week.
You should know that her Vet was very impressed with her. She is his first Bernedoodle and he raved about her jaw alignment, hips and coat. His exact words were ‘This is a very hearty, healthy and beautifully well-bred animal.’
Her energy level is perfect. She is mellow yet playful. All in all, we could not be happier with her. Thank you so much for placing her with us! We will let you know how she progresses from a service perspective, especially now that we will be ramping up her training.

Clementine
Owners: The Meachams – Poway, CA
We purchased one of your medium Australian Bernedoodles. Clementine was born on July 4, 2014. We can’t tell you how much we love this little girl. She has become such a part of our family. She is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen. Our daughter is a professional photographer and took these pictures. We have plenty more where these came from :-D).
And more than her beauty, her personality is ridiculously incredible. She is still a pup and gets into trouble now and then. But it is so hard to scold her cause she is so stinkin’ cute. She’s just barely over 8 months and weighs about 36 pounds. She loves to play. She loves everyone she meets. And she loves to just hang out with us. We just took her on a 12 day trip to our daughter’s family in Colorado. She was in the car with the 2 of us and our two 10 year old twin granddaughters for two straight 10 hour days on the way there and 2 more full days on the way back and could not have been more perfect. She slept most of the time and when she wasn’t sleeping she would just lay there. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t spunky – she is. She just seems to know when to be spunky and when to be mellow.
We could not be happier. We waited 11 months for her and paid an arm and a leg for her, but we would do it again a thousand times over to get her. Thank you so much for breeding your dogs. It’s a labor of love I am sure, but we get to reap the rewards. We love our little Clementine.

Bo
Owners: Aryne and John Tavares – Mississauga, ON
We own a tiny Bernedoodle we have named Bo! Bo was a surprise birthday present a year ago and he was by far the best birthday present I could have ever received. Bo has a huge personality for a little 10 lb. body – he’s energetic, fun, and affectionate! He absolutely loves people, especially kids, but also loves every dog he sees. He loves walks and runs and hates being wet. Bo is also a great travel companion on airplanes with no issues at all. Bo completes our family for now but we definitely want a second doodle down the road and would choose none other than a SwissRidge. Sherry is one of the most calm, helpful and smart people I know, which was extremely helpful for me as a first time dog owner. The first few months of Bo’s life were a bit stressful. Around 6 months old, Bo developed a prolapsed urethra and required surgery to fix the problem. Throughout the whole process, Sherry stayed very involved and wanted to help in any way. This is very telling of her character; I don’t think many dog breeders would have helped once the pup was transferred to the new owner. Bo fills our hearts with his goofy personality and I wouldn’t change it for the world.” ~Aryne Fuller

Kota
Owners: The Kossoffs – Los Angeles, CA
Sherry, we just want to thank you for bringing Kota into our lives. The wait was so worth it. You have given us the most incredible animal – smart, loving, healthy with the best personality anyone could wish for! She truly is an incredible dog. She is bringing so much joy and love to our family and after only 7 months with us, we are starting to question whether Kota needs a SwissRidge sibling! My husband, who did NOT want a dog, is crazy in love with her! I loved coming out to meet you and see your wonderful facility. Straight away I knew that a lady as lovely as this could only breed amazing dogs! Thank you, Sherry – you truly have changed our lives and we are so proud to be part of this amazing SwissRidge family!

With Sherry’s reputation for breeding amazing dogs, we had pretty high expectations for our puppy. Now that we’ve had Staley for nearly 3 months, I can honestly say that he is everything we hoped he would be. He is gentle, quick to learn, and loves to play. We live in the city, and so it was important to us that he be well adjusted to meeting new people and new dogs. He is a cautious pup, but always friendly. And he absolutely LOVES other dogs, regardless of age/size/gender. We are very happy and thank you!”

Harlow
Owners: The Jenningses – Whitby, ON
Harlow is without a doubt the sweetest and most gentle puppy we have ever had the pleasure of raising. She is always first at the door when someone comes home and will greet you for an hour if you let her. She loves nothing more than laying at your feet or cuddling beside us on the couch. She absolutely adores her half brother Lefty (Australian Bernedoodle from SwissRidge) and they spend most of their days chasing and wrestling each other. When they aren’t doing that you will find them curled up in a ball together. She is a social butterfly at the dog park. She makes sure to spend as much time playing with the other dogs as she does soaking up the attention of their owners. She gets very excited when meeting new people. She loves walks and since day one with us has been very good on the leash. She is cautious around water but will wade in the water when she is feeling brave. She quickly picked up on all Lefty’s ‘tricks for treats’ and surpassed him on a couple. She is a joy to be around!

Kaya
Owners: The Shaws – Saanichton, BC
Kaya is a female from the very first litter of Golden Mountain Doodles. She is our fifth dog – three of the four previous were Golden Retrievers. We were looking for the Golden personality without shedding. We got much more than that!
Kaya is a ball of positive energy, extremely intelligent, and easy to train. She interacts perfectly with other dogs. We put her in environments where she has the opportunity to meet other dogs frequently and she has never had any negative interactions. She seems to know how to appropriately approach or avoid other dogs. We were looking for an independent personality and she is perfect. I’m not sure how Sherry does it – but she picked the perfect dog for us.

Finley
Owners: Amber Corley – Cary, NC
Finley is the sweetest and cuddliest puppy! She loves everyone she meets, person or pet, and never fails to bring a smile to people’s faces. Finley is very eager to please and her sweet eyes follow you everywhere you go. She is so playful and constantly happy, and my goodness is she smart! She picks up on tricks so quickly and really understands them. One time, I had her watch another dog perform ‘shake’…and that is all it took! She has this trick down pat (along with so many more!) and loves to show it off. I have people over all the time and I also take her around town with me. Each time someone meets her they comment on how well behaved and how gorgeous she is. It is very hard to pass by a SwissRidge Doodle without commenting on their temperament and looks. They are absolutely stunning and Finley is no exception. As you can probably tell, I am completely smitten!
I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing the SwissRidge family is! From day one, they answered every question that I had, and I promise you, I had hundreds! They truly understand that these puppies become our dearest family members, and they treat you with the utmost care and compassion as you eagerly await your precious pup. Believe me when I say that when you begin your journey with SwissRidge, you will receive so much more than you ever imagined. Sherry personally saw to the matching process for me and Finley, and I couldn’t be happier with my sweet girl. Every interaction I had with SwissRidge made me that much more excited to bring Finley home. This level of care and dedication does not stop once you receive your puppy – Sherry is still there for you every step of the way as you begin to make a home and a lifetime of memories with your doodle!
I hope after researching this site, hearing raving reviews from owners like me, and taking time to understand the breed, that you will also begin to embark on the incredible journey of making a SwissRidge Bernedoodle your very own! Whether it’s a coffee run up the street, a play date in the park, a quiet girl’s night in, or a night of College football with family and friends – this girl is the perfect companion.

Fifi Mylo
Owners: The Wawrows – Edmonton, AB
Our pup, Miss Fifi Mylo (Carrie & Sting, 22/Mar/14, Mini English Goldendoodle), has been such an amazing addition to our family. Neither my husband nor I ever had pets growing up, so we were hoping for an easy pup – we got her! It was love at first sight. None of us will forget the day we picked her up from the airport, she was very affectionate, and CUTE! She is now 23 lbs. at 8 months old. She is gentle, hilarious and very friendly. We never went through the nippy phase with her, and crate and potty training went extremely well. She will do anything for freeze-dried chicken!
She is on her third puppy training class, and is smart as a whip! And everywhere we go people want to know her breed and where she came from! She loves tug-a-war, and running around in the snow. Miss Fifi loves to play with other dogs and is never shy about mixing it up with big dogs. She is full of personality and rarely ever barks.
Not so long ago my 7 year old, Charlotte, used to scream at the sight of a dog, now she will sit with Miss Fifi on her lap and cuddle her, and hand feed her. Choosing SwissRidge and getting Miss Fifi was a life changer for us all. Now our girls do not go to sleep at night without a kiss from their puppy, she was worth every minute of the wait! We all absolutely love her to bits, we cannot thank you enough! Anyone with questions for us, feel free to email me, swawrow@gmail.com.

Gracie
Owners: The Saxons – Santa Monica, CA
Dear Sherry, You are the best breeder! From the moment we got Gracie out of her crate at the airport we were all in love. She was in your imprint program and came home knowing her name, basic commands as well as ‘go potty.’ She has always slept with us in our bed, but never goes on any other furniture. She was born happy and I would like to think that we have had a lot to do with that too as she approaches her second birthday. She loves to play tug…especially with Elliott, and have balls thrown at her to chase, but never understood giving the ball back. She loves belly rubs from Elliott 2-3 times a day. As we are both home a lot she is very secure and lives by a schedule. Everyone who meets her loves her…to the extent that older women come out to hug her and thank her for her kisses. Gracie loves little kids and rolls over for belly rubs from them. She loves to roll on fake grass, even cement, to scratch her back. When she goes to daycare at a place called Fit Dog, Santa Monica, she jumps into the arms of the people there, leaving us in the dust, and plays ‘patty cake’ with them. Gracie is fascinated by cats – she just watches them. If they arch their backs, she turns away. She is very respectful of older people too. At night, Gracie snuggles between us…and wakes an hour after Elliott, who is up at 5:30, then goes out with him and comes back to bed. If she had it her way, she would graze breakfast late and often I have to coax her. The phrase ‘she will eat when she is hungry’ does not apply to Gracie, who has become a foodie even liking lox!
She loves the Vet! Well…she loves everyone and gets so excited when she knows she is going to daycare. Her energy only quits to sleep or nap during the day – she’s a great sleeper.
Gracie only barks if someone comes to the door, but the other night after dinner with Elliott’s kids and grandkids, they wanted to walk her home and she screamed until we took her. Perhaps if one of us had gone, she would have been fine, but it illustrates how much she loves us and depends on us. We never leave her for more than four hours so she knows we always come home to her and never leave her very long. She loves to snuggle and is the very best girl, which of course we tell her all the time.
Gracie is very smart. I have a white electric BMW 3I car. Elliott was walking Gracie one evening and I was out. She saw a version of my car and stood on her back legs whining for me, thinking it was my car. She knows a lot of English and always tells us if she needs to go out, especially when it is off schedule.
I recommend you, Sherry, all the time. Our neighbor got a Mini Labradoodle from another breeder and it is already neurotic at 10 weeks. She was nipping at Gracie’s ankles and Gracie just stood and took it until I opened our door.
If Gracie wants to play and the phone rings, and we need to take the call, she respectfully goes behind the chair, sometimes dreaming with little noises or small snores until we are available.” ~Nina Saxon

Fred
Owners: The Christakises – Toronto, ON
I wanted to send a pic of Fred and be a reference – not that you need any, your dogs speak for themselves. Fred is the most amazing dog we could have asked for. He is so smart and so funny. His temperament is amazing. He runs so fast at the off-leash dog park and then just chills at home. He has given us so much more than we could ever give back.

Elton
Owners: The Ridgways – Dubai
I just wanted to let you know how well Elton is doing here in Dubai. He’s been such a joy to have here and he’s become quite the neighborhood celebrity and an important member of our family. He visits the park every day to play with all the neighborhood kids and I can’t get over how gentle and patient he is with everyone he meets. He knows he can wrestle like mad with Mike, but is instantly calm when a toddler wants to hug him. His lovely, kind personality is priceless in a place where a lot of people have never had contact with a dog before. He really is a perfect little ambassador. People have literally stopped their cars in traffic to meet him. He loves to play ball and recently started rollerblading with me. He loves the exercise and behaves very well. He’s been easy to train, and has only had a few accidents when we’ve gotten him too wound up (our bad). His beautiful coat is so soft and doesn’t shed a bit. I was almost sad to have it cut to help him with the heat.

Raglan, Sula, Gibbs, Cody and Abbie
Owners: The Murphys – Salem, MA
Being the proud pack leader of six of Sherry’s dogs I can honestly say that I am not sure if I will ever adopt another family member from anyone but Sherry Rupke and her team at SwissRidge Kennels.
We sent in our first adoption form in 2010 when I fell in LOVE with a tri-color puppy on the SwissRidge website. I had my heart set on a puppy just like the one I saw in the picture. I stalked the SwissRidge website day after day. I will never forget the day Sherry called me out of the blue. Sherry said, ‘I have a puppy, but he’s not tri-color.’ She sent me a picture and the whole family fell in love with him. We didn’t need a tri-color pup. We needed this black standard bernedoodle with a white cross on his chest, and a tan swirl over his eyes!
From that day on, we knew this pup we named Raglan was going to be a wonderful addition to our growing family. He was an adorable pup, full of energy, dedication, and spunk. We loved him so much that we knew we had room for another. Our youngest daughter wanted a doodle she could bond with, something smaller, so the following Christmas Santa left a dog crate filled with toys with a note saying we were on the list for a mini bernedoodle. Sula was born the next month and our pack was growing! Sula added a new energy to our pack. She was a playful pup who tested any and all limits she was given. With the help of a local trainer, and a quick education in being the leader of my pack, Raglan and Sula were a dream come true.
Now that we had a mini and a standard bernedoodle, my love for SwissRidge doodles continued to grow, I hinted around that one more pup would complete our pack. A tiny bernedoodle would make our family complete. I never considered myself to be a small dog person, but there was something about these tiny pups that turned me around. My husband must be as crazy as I am because he contacted Sherry on his own and wanted to surprise me with my third bernedoodle for my birthday!
Raglan was from the litter of Chantelle, an Apricot standard poodle, and Dominique, a handsome Bernese mountain dog. Raglan is a wonderful pup but he did take some time and effort to get him that way. I’d say that was our fault though. Even though I read the books and studied the puppy handbook, I still made some mistakes. Luckily, with the support of a great trainer, I realized what I was doing wrong. Raglan is a wonderful companion and family member. He walks down the street like he is a Clydesdale horse and if one of his pack members breaks away from the pack he does not stand down until they return. He is loyal, loving, and with his long legged stature and winning personality, he is the best of all worlds. Raglan will be four in June 2014.
Sula is a mini doodle from Juno, a Bernese mountain dog, and Eddie, a poodle, born January 2, 2012. She is a total love and attention hound. Throughout my day I always have the feeling that sometimes I am being watched. As I take a glance around, Sula’s eyes are directly focused on me. If I leave the house she will assume her position in the front bay window and wait for my return. Sula loves everything and everyone. She always wants to know what is going on. Whether you are driving a car, sitting on the couch, or yes, even sitting at the kitchen counter, Sula is right by your side. She is very vocal and opinionated and will express her opinion any chance she gets! We only wish we knew what she was trying to say.
Gibbs is a tiny bernedoodle from the litter of Kia and Pickle, born May 24, 2013. He is as smart as he is adorable. When I brought Gibbs in for his first vet appointment, the first thing the vet said is, ‘He is stink’in cute.’ Gibbs can keep up with the big dogs, but can also be a sweet cuddly lap dog at the drop of a dime. Never having a small dog before (Gibbs weighs 15 pounds at 11 months), we decided to fly from Boston to California with Gibbs in a carry-on bag not knowing what to expect. With a five hour flight ahead of us, we were prepared for anything and everything! Let’s just say we were over-prepared. Gibbs was unbelievable! He cuddled up in a ball in his special travel bag and didn’t bark or whimper during the entire flight! I was truly amazed at how well he adjusted to this new adventure.
You may ask, ‘Why am I telling you all this?’ Well, the reason is because there is something so special about the puppies that Sherry and her SwissRidge Team create. We knew Sherry was special the first time we emailed her. We knew she and her pups were worth every penny we would spend on them. Once you make the commitment to Sherry and her pups you will never look back, or wonder if you made the right choice. And then, when you hold your precious treasure in your arms for the very first time, you will not be able to control that warm and fuzzy feeling that will run through your entire body. The testing, the care, the follow-through, and most importantly her love for her job are just some of the reasons why Sherry Rupke is the very best Breeder of the Pack.
Since writing this, the Murphy family has add two more pups from Swissridge to their family. A SwissRidge Doodle named Abbie and a Tiny Goldendoodle named Cody.

Eala & Emma
Owners: The Wapplers – South Freeport, ME
Eala and Emma are best friends, they are their own love story and I could not be happier with the bond they have and the relationship we have as a pack. I would not change a thing and encourage anyone considering adding a puppy to say yes, prepare and relish in the gift of two. This is our story.
Eala is our first Swissridge Kennels pup she was born from Berlin and Hendrix in May of 2015. Eala was the most beautiful standard english goldendoodle puppy I had ever seen; she was a sweet, floppsy, confident, pup. A few days after leaving her litter Eala seemed sad and lonely. Every time we introduced Eala to other dogs she lit up and our puppy was at her happiest. Eala loved playing with other dogs and it was this connection that brought her the most joy. It was clear to us that another dog was going to join the family and could not come fast enough for Eala.
My husband and I devoted many moments adding up to hours each day training Eala; this commitment to Eala’s training was the most important thing for our happiness with our dog. We intended to raise a pup with the experience to handle any situation with grace.
My husband and I were ready for our next puppy when Eala turned 6 months of age. Eala was consistently following her commands and her pack; we had a solid foundation in place and were ready to raise another pup. I hoped Eala to help me raise the new puppy by her own example; this is exactly what happened, it was and still is, a dream come true.
We had shared Eala’s pick up day with the first litter of Swissridge Doodles. As excited, as I was to meet my golden girl, Eala, I was completely taken by the new breed Sherry had created. Our experience that day leads my husband and I to add our names to the list for a Swissridge Doodle.
I knew I wanted to have 2 dogs for the obvious reasons: keeping each other company and easing my guilt when leaving one dog home alone. The gifts that were given to us with these 2 pups way exceeded my simple expectations. I was hesitant to have 2 dogs at the same time, I had no experience with training or living with 2 dogs; I grew up with one family dog at a time. My husband had past experiences of 2 dogs and assured me this was going to be easy and the bond our dogs would have would bring such joy to our life. Our commitment to raise Eala and train her well before bringing in our next pup was the best decision we ever made, it made everything we did as we brought puppy number two into the family seem almost effortless.
Eala was and still is a strong confident dog that is a natural born leader, our next pup needed to come into our family with ease and be able to follow Eala in her position as top dog. We had received the coveted email that there was a puppy for us in Willow and Levi’s third litter of Swissridge Doodles born in May, 2016. In our application we had asked Sherry for an easygoing confident puppy, these were the most important characteristics for us at the time. Listening to Sherry’s guidance after her personal puppy assessments she lead us to the perfect pup, Chanel, now called Emma had the temperament we were looking for.
Eala joined us for the long drive to Canada to pick up her new sister Emma. Sherry invited us to bring Eala into the kennel to meet her new sister. I was nervous about Eala’s reaction and she seemed unsettled by the little puppy I was holding in my arms. Bending down to introduce Emma to Eala, Eala backed up into Sherry’s lap unsure of what to do. An hour down the road Eala began to show some curiously for this puppy I was snuggling, it was also time for a car break and we pulled over to let the dogs out in an open field. It was here where the magic happened, Eala lit up with a huge smile on her face jumping and bounding in play a few feet from her new baby sister. I began to tear up, Eala bowed down to her tiny puppy and Emma responded by lifted her paw up to play. This is what I dreamed of and Eala was thrilled to have a playmate of her very own. This was the start of their love story.
In the hours and days that followed Eala and Emma’s bond grew. Eala was the most gentle and patient big sister, she responded to her little sister with such care. Eala showed Emma just what to do in every situation. I would give Eala the command to sit, Eala would sit and then look by her side at Emma then I would give Emma the same command to sit and Emma would sit. I promise you this is a true story it was just this easy. It was like magic and we were constantly in awe. This ease continued for months as Emma mastered the basics following Eala’s lead.
At about four or five months old Emma reached a new stage and began to think for herself challenging us as pack leaders. The basics of training were already in place we only needed to raise our game and follow through and we moved through this rebellious stage with a more confident young pup.
Another gift Eala gave us was exercising Emma and wearing her out effortlessly during free play several times a day. This playtime helped Emma fall asleep in her crate when it was time for rest.
Eala learned Emma’s name right away within a few weeks I could say, “Where’s Emma?” and off Eala would go to fetch her. Emma was Eala’s shadow for the first few months Eala loved it until she had enough and wanted to be left alone. Eala would bark or growl at Emma asking for space. I was the one who had to get used to this expression, at times I would jump out of skin as Eala barked at Emma and my instinct as a human was to correct Eala. I had to stop my own reaction and need to humanize my dogs. Eala always knew best and I respected her teaching Emma how to behave.
When Eala was old enough we trained her how to use the dog door to go outside in our fenced yard on her own. It was a weeklong process to get her comfortable with the bi-parting doors. Once she got it, going in and out was easy and she enjoyed the privilege to go in and out during the day. As Emma grew and her world within the house grew I had the dog door closed most of the time, worried I could loose a puppy out the door when I was not looking. At about 6 months of age when Emma was fully trained and consistently responsive to commands I opened the dog door for Eala. Eala was thrilled to have the freedom back and Emma wondered where her sister went? I let curiosity teach Emma how to use the dog door, it was not 2 days before Emma asked to follow here big sister outside. I told Emma it was okay to go outside and with 2 pushes of the doors with her head she was out the door. I was astounded I did not need to do a thing; she watched Eala and did just what she did. Emma came back threw the door just as easily as she had gone out. I was so excited I had to give her a treat and a cuddle she had mastered the dog door and earned the privilege. Emma respectfully still asks to go out the door, she will catch my eye and stand at the ready and when I say okay, out she goes.
Our two dogs have a strong bond together as a unit but they are still their own dog with their own likes and dislikes, each of them will play alone contently as well as interact with other dogs independent of each other. Every Monday they are picked up for an off leash pack walk with 8-12 dogs, the report each week from our dog walker is of joyful independent play making doggy friends of their own. I could not be more blessed by the balance they bring to each other and our family; their relationship has only expanded their social skills and furthered their confidence in social situations.
I don’t know were the magic came from. Was it Sherry’s masterful breeding program? Was it our preparation and training with Eala? Or was it this bright easy little puppy we call Emma? Every factor came together to create the ease we have experienced and this amazing outcome. I could not be more grateful for this experience with Sherry and Swissridge Kennels. If you are considering adding another puppy to your family I would encourage you say yes, the gift for everyone involved is everlasting. ~ Andrea Wappler

Trek
Owners: Laurie Young – Elgin, SC
Trek is an amazing best friend. I love his ‘happy-go-lucky’ personality. He has the sweetest demeanor and loves to cuddle. Trek likes to go swimming, hiking and play fetch, but is perfectly happy sitting next to us on the sofa. He has always been eager to please and always wants us to be happy with him. Trek actually knows how to make my husband and I laugh. If we are grumpy and just not in the best of mood, he will bring us one of his squeaky toys. If we ignore him, he starts squeaking it but does it in such a way it sounds like he is scolding us. Never fails to make us laugh and change our mood.
He is just an all-around perfect dog and has brought so much joy and laughter to our home. I couldn’t have asked for a better Buddy. He loves every person he meets and every critter he encounters. Trek is a true testament to a wonderful breeding program.
He loves to run around the yard with his big brother and then come in the house for a snuggle. I am always amazed at how well he listens to commands for being such a young pup. I am constantly impressed with SwissRidge Kennels and the pups that come from there.
Trek is our 2nd pup from SwissRidge, my husband and I also have a Standard Bernedoodle that came from SwissRidge 4 1/2 years ago, that we are over the moon in love with. These two pups brighten every day for us, and it’s so nice to have both of them love and enjoy each other the way that they do.” ~Laurie Young

Willie & Buster
Owners: The Spivaks – Scarsdale, NY
After a year of searching for the perfect dog, I found the perfect breeder in Sherry Rupke and SwissRidge Kennels. In 2013, I contacted Sherry and told her that I was looking to fill a void left by my beloved Golden Retriever. I wanted to have another lovable, sweet, intelligent dog that could keep me company. Both of my previous dogs died from cancer at a young age, and I wanted to do everything I could to have a healthy dog, first and foremost. Sherry and her staff were informative, helpful and very easy to work with. In June of 2013, Sherry picked out the perfect dog for me and my family – a Standard Bernedoodle, that we named Willie Wonka. He was the perfect dog. Willie is 65 pounds of love, affection and intelligence –everything I asked for and more (he doesn’t shed!). So just like potato chips, I couldn’t have just one. A year later, I contacted Sherry and told her I wanted another one of her doodles as a playmate for Willie, but maybe a smaller one this time. Once again, Sherry listened to my wishes, invited me up to Canada and showed me around her new kennel – the culmination of all of her hopes, dreams and hard work. Sherry’s commitment to the dogs she breeds, their health and temperament along with her honesty and integrity is testament to who she is and the type of dogs she breeds.
She introduced me to the cutest puppy that she chose to be Willie’s little brother and so began our life with Buster. Buster is a 30-pound Golden Mountain Doodle. He was the perfect combination of Willie, my Standard Bernedoodle, and my beloved Golden Retriever that passed away. Buster stayed in Canada for imprint training and I brought him home eight weeks later.
What Buster lacks in stature, he makes up in personality. I am constantly stopped in the street with questions about my two dogs, and I am always happy to talk about Sherry Rupke and SwissRidge.

Luna & Maggie
Owners: The McConneys – California, USA
Where to start…. Luna is amazing!!!!!!! I have her sweet face kissed off! I have always had dogs and loved each of them but have never loved a dog the way I love Luna. The nice part is she loves me back. LOL, she is so much fun and really makes me laugh hard. She loves playing ball with me and chasing me around the yard. We go for two 20 minute walks each day rain or shine. She has just completed her first week of training and has one more week to go. I honestly cannot believe how smart she is. Jocelyn (the trainer) has been training puppies for the last 22 years and told me she has ever only trained 2 other dogs that have been as smart as Luna. She was explaining to me that most dogs can’t ‘generalize’ for a long period of time and Luna ‘got it’ the second day. She seemed very shocked and surprised at how quickly Luna learns. She asked me all about you and your kennel after she asked me where in the world I found a puppy like this. Luna now knows ‘want to go for a ride,’ ‘sit,’ ‘down’ and ‘stay’ with nothing more than a hand signal! She also knows ‘in’ to go in her kennel, ‘bed’ to play in her bed in the kitchen while we eat our meal. I can drop food on the floor right beside her and she will not touch it once I have commanded her to stay. She will not come out of her bed with her toys until I release her with the word ‘Okay.'”
Beverly has many more stories about Luna and how great she is! This is only the start of it, lol! Beverly was so happy with Luna that she also purchased Maggie from me. This is what she has to say about Maggie: “Miss Maggie Muggins!!! She is such a cuddly and loving dog and so very smart. When I signed her up for training classes, the instructor decided to move her to level two as she already knew all the commands from level one. She is learning to play soccer right now…Luna is her teacher!!! She plays hard with Luna and then flops down and falls asleep. She recently discovered how much fun the water can be and is splashing around in the lake like a pony but not quite brave enough yet to swim. I expect that will happen within a week as she is watching Luna and I can see she wants to go in. She is 45 pounds right now at five months and, based on the size of her paws, I expect will be a big girl. She is losing her puppy coat and starting to wave up really nicely and David and I expect she will look very much like Luna. She is a really social dog (show me a doodle that isn’t) and people want to cuddle her and play with her whenever they see her. A little girl and boy in our neighborhood come to the door every few days to ask if they can play in the backyard with Maggie and Luna. Once again, Sherry, you have matched us with the perfect puppy. I’m so glad I found you because there are too many unethical breeders out there. Keep producing the best dogs in the world!!!” ~Beverly McConney

Reuben & Cluny
Owners: The Stevensons – Kingston, ON
Just wanted to give you an update on our boy, Reuben. He has developed into a very handsome goldendoodle with a decidedly quirky but endearing personality. He has inherited the energy and independent spirit of his mother as well as the intelligence to know what he wants and how to get it from his father. Reuben loves his daily walks and excursions to the park. He has a ‘play group’ of dogs that he loves to socialize with at the park. He has a great ability to adapt to the level of play with each of the dogs and has never shown any aggressiveness with any dog that he meets. The other dog owners often comment on his good looks and friendly personality.
Reuben is great in the house, too. He ‘woofs’ once when someone comes to the door but takes our lead when visitors arrive and greets them calmly without intruding into their space. This is especially appreciated with a dog of his size!! When our 1-year-old grandson was visiting at Christmas, Reuben was gentle and patient with him, too. His groomer says that he has the best looks (great coat) and nicest temperament of any goldendoodle on which she has worked. He has also been praised for easy handling ability by the ‘groomers in training’ in the local community college program.
We are really enjoying sharing our life with our goldendoodle and are grateful to have serendipitously found your kennel. We have directed several folks to your website that have expressed an interest in Reuben and the breed in general. We both appreciate the dedication that you have to breeding sound and healthy pups.” ~Sandra Stevenson
The Stevenson family loved Reuben so much that they purchased another dog from me, Cluny, two years later in 2009.
