Widget

Widget is an Australian Labradoodle (mini size)! He is currently enrolled in our imprinting program and is learning the commands sit, down, come, stay, leave it, watch me, place, and loose-leash walking (see video below). He is also learning puppy manners, as well as house and crate training. Our trainers work on handling exercises with the puppies and help them become comfortable with grooming.

Widget is microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, dewormed, and comes with a 2-year health guarantee. Both of his parents have completed all required health clearances.

While Widget is in training, you will receive weekly updates from his trainers. At the end of the program, you will receive a final report, a training schedule, and training videos demonstrating everything he has learned. You will also receive an in-depth training course designed for owners. This course teaches you how your puppy was trained and how to maintain and build upon the skills he has learned. The course is valued at $1,350 and is only included with puppies enrolled in our training program. It is sold separately for all other puppies.

Widget is a very is a very playful, loyal, sensitive and loving pup! He has a love for toys and exploring the world with his nose. He loves training walks and being around people and dogs he knows and is comfortable with.

He has a certain sensitivity to his personality and is very aware of his surroundings. He can show some hesitation in certain situations and interactions, especially when there is a lot of commotion or spatial pressure. He has a lower stress threshold and can be impressionable, so he is quick to decide which environments and interactions he is comfortable with and which ones he isn’t. When something is new to him, he likes to investigate it from a comfortable distance and at his own pace rather than being pushed into it. At home and around people he knows his happy and bubbly personality always shines through!

Widget is very smart and loves to train and interact with his handler. He is motivated by food but also feeds off the positive energy and praise he receives from his person. He enjoys spending time on his placemat, where he will happily go back and forth between watching what I’m doing and relaxing with a bone. He absolutely LOVES the car and is happy to tag along on pretty much any trip, no matter how long.

Once Widget is comfortable with his person, he is very affectionate and loves cuddles. He enjoys being part of the group and really feeds off the energy of the people and dogs around him. He is great company and is perfectly happy relaxing and accompanying his people during quieter activities, but he also has a playful side and loves getting his energy out by running laps outside and playing with toys, either on his own or with other dogs.

He has been around dogs of all different sizes and ages and gets along great with everyone. Overall, Widget is a very sweet, smart and sensitive pup. I think he would do best in a home that enjoys taking their dog on specific outings that eventually become part of his normal routine. He is a pup who would need a more laid-back lifestyle that is centered around being at home and surrounded by the people, places and routines he knows best. He would really thrive in the country or in a quieter suburb environment where he can have a nice balance of adventures, playtime and relaxing at home with his family.
