Summit
Male Mini Australian Labradoodle - 4 months training
Summit is an Australian Labradoodle! He is currently in our imprinting program and is learning the commands: sit, down, come, stay, leave it, watch me, place and walking on a leash (see video below). He is learning puppy manners, house and crate training! The trainers also do handling exercises with the puppies and get them used to grooming. He is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and comes with a 2 year health guarantee. Both his parents have all their required health clearances which can be viewed on our website.
While Summit is in training owners will receive weekly updates. At the end of training you will receive a final report, with a schedule, along with training videos showing everything your puppy has learned. You will also receive an in-depth training course for yourself. This way you can learn how your puppy was taught and keep up the in-depth training they have received. This course is valued at $1350 and is only included with our pups that come with training. It is sold as a separate package with all other pups!
Here is information about Summit’s personality from his trainer:
Summit is the most special puppy and, honestly, one of those puppies that is very hard to let go of. I always have puppies in training and this one is a keeper. I’m hoping Sherry forgets about him so I can keep him, lol!
He is the kind of puppy that checks every single box when it comes to temperament, trainability, and overall personality. He is everything most families are looking for. He is cuddly, calm, and easygoing. He has that soft, gentle nature where he just melts into you during cuddle time. He enjoys being close to his people and has a very affectionate and loving personality.
Energy-wise, he is what I would consider low to medium energy, which is such a nice balance. He will have his little bursts of puppy energy and zoomies for a couple of minutes, and then he’s right back to settling down and relaxing like nothing ever happened. He has an off switch. He is very easy to live with and adapts perfectly into our home and environment. If you are looking for an easy pup this is your boy!
He has always been calm from day one, he has been absolutely spectacular in his crate. He goes in calmly, settles quickly, and is completely relaxed. He is already sleeping through the night without any accidents, which is a huge bonus and shows how quickly he is picking up on routine and structure.
His confidence and socialization have also been amazing. Summit has been exposed to a variety of environments including Canadian Tire, Party City (with all the “scary” Halloween decorations), and Home Depot. In every setting, he has handled it with nothing but confidence. He is confident, curious, and happy to explore without being overwhelmed. Loud noises, busy traffic, bikes passing by, and people approaching him don’t phase him. He takes it all in stride and recovers instantly from anything new.
He is amazing with children and is always very gentle with all of them (I have 3 children in the home). He also does great with other animals. With my cats, he may show a quick moment of playful curiosity when they first enter the room, but he quickly loses interest if they walk away. With other dogs, he is respectful, reads their cues well, and adjusts his behavior accordingly. He will happily play when invited or settle and cuddle when the other dogs want space.
When it comes to training, Summit is a dream. He is very treat motivated and, stays engaged even in new and distracting environments. This level of focus at this age is defiantly not something I see in your average puppy. He is currently working on sit, down, come, place, leave it, and watch me, and he is picking everything up quickly. He has a very willing, eager-to-please attitude.
Overall, Summit has a very balanced, “middle of the road” temperament. He is calm but still playful, affectionate but still independent, confident but not over the top. He has that easy, go-with-the-flow personality that makes him adaptable to so many different lifestyles. He is an absolute dream dog and I feel so lucky to have him in my home for training.
