Oliver a Tiny Multigenerational Bernedoodle. He is one of those dogs who’s the complete package when it comes to temperament.

When evaluating a dog’s temperament, there’s usually something you know you’ll have to work on. Some puppies are shy, some are overly active, some can be stubborn, vocal, or have little quirks that take time and training to overcome. Oliver just… doesn’t. He has been naturally balanced from the day he was born.

He is confident without being pushy, gentle without being timid, and incredibly easygoing. He has such a sweet, soft and loving personality with both people and other dogs. Oliver is always eager to please and is one of those dogs who wants to be wherever we are. Many Bernese possess a stubborn streak but this is not something I see in Oliver’s personality.

Around the house, he is calm, quiet, and loves to cuddle. He’s happy curling up beside us on the couch or rolling onto his back for belly rubs, which just happens to be one of his favorite things. But as soon as we head outside, his playful, goofy side comes out. He loves to play, but he also has an excellent “off switch.” He can have fun when it’s time to play but settles quickly when it’s time to relax. He matches the energy of the people around him. He was raised with small children and adores them. He is so gentle, loving and snuggly with small children.

One of my favorite things about Oliver is his expression. He has that forever-puppy look with the sweetest, most soulful eyes that make it seem like he understands everything you’re saying. He has a way of melting everyone’s heart that meets him. Probably because of his loving personality but also because he looks like a forever puppy!

Oliver is one of those dogs that just came into the world knowing exactly how to be the perfect companion! I hope to see this same personality trait come out in his puppies!
