Olive is one of the sweetest and most social girls. She was bred and raised here at SwissRidge. She is out of Isla and Odin, two incredible dogs whose lines I have relied on for years. In fact, there were six females in this litter, and all six were kept for our breeding program. I’m happy to announce that all six siblings passed their clearance which shows very strong and healthy genetics in both their vertical and horizontal pedigree’s. Olive spent ten months with one of our imprint trainers, and this is what she had to say about her personality:

“Olive is truly a dream dog and, to me, the very definition of a Bernese Mountain Dog. She is incredibly sweet, loyal, and gentle. What I love most is how she always matches the energy of the room. When things are calm, she is calm too, quietly settling on her raised bed or chewing a Yak bone. But the moment you invite her to play, she is instantly ready, full of enthusiasm and joy.

Olive thrives on being close and connected. She always seeks some form of touch, whether it is resting her paw gently on you or leaning in for comfort. I often called her my little shadow because she wanted to be part of everything I was doing. From watching me blow dry my hair, to sitting beside me while I watched TV, to quietly being there during meals, Olive was always by my side.

She has always loved other dogs and plays beautifully with them. Even as a chunky eight week old puppy, she wanted to keep up with the older dogs. That playful spirit carried into a sweet routine of playing tag with my family dog every morning and evening, almost like clockwork.

One of my favorite memories is of Olive’s first snowfall. I had never seen a dog so full of wonder and joy. She watched the flakes drift from the sky, fascinated, and the moment the snow covered the ground she was in her element. She ran and bounded through it, buried her face in it, and played tag with pure delight.

Olive brought me happiness every single day, and I know her puppies will carry that same joy into the lives of the families who are fortunate enough to have them.”

Olive has been fully health tested, and her health certificates are attached for your review. At SwissRidge, we complete thorough health testing on all of our dogs, including x-rays, DNA testing, and comprehensive physical exams performed by a licensed veterinarian to ensure we are breeding only the healthiest dogs who will go on to produce strong, healthy puppies.
