Navy is a beautiful and sweet Bernese Mountain Dog, proudly bred and raised at SwissRidge. She is out of Isla and Odin. You can visit their individual pages to learn more about these amazing and well bred lines.

There were six female puppies in this litter, and we decided to keep all six for our breeding program. I am proud to say that every single one of them passed their health clearances, which shows very strong and healthy genetics in both their vertical and horizontal pedigrees. Navy is an amazing and sweet dog with a unique charm that sets her apart. She has one blue eye and one brown eye, a distinctive trait that is uncommon in the Bernese breed and the inspiration behind her name. Much like her mother Isla, Navy has a warm and friendly personality, making her a joy to be around and welcoming to everyone she meets.

Navy is a tomboy at heart. She is athletic and loves to get down and dirty once in a while. She especially enjoys running and playing in the yard with her siblings and toys. Her favorites are the big jolly balls. The moment she gets outside, she makes a beeline straight for the ball, proudly picking it up and teasing the other dogs as she prances around the yard with her prized possession.

Navy is also a true foodie. She lives for her next meal and can easily convince anyone that she has been skipped at feeding time, eagerly waiting for another chance to indulge. Because of her love for food, she is very easy to train. She is willing to do just about anything for a treat, even giving up her beloved jolly ball. The one thing she has not quite mastered is catching a treat in midair. She always gives it her best effort, but most of the time the treat bounces right off her forehead, which only adds to her goofy charm.

I would describe Navy as fun and lighthearted. Nothing really bothers her, and she has a very passive personality. She brings so much joy and laughter to all the staff with her playful, sweet nature.
