Baily was born, trained, and raised here at SwissRidge. She comes from a very long line of SwissRidge dogs. Her parents are Navy and Quincy, who were both bred and raised at SwissRidge. Quincy’s parents are Ellie and Nemo. Ellie was also bred and raised at SwissRidge, and her parents were Pandora and Crumpet. Pandora was born and raised here as well, and her parents where Nellar and Dominque. Nellar was born here as well and her parents where Verushcka and Daiko. Daiko, was the second Bernese Mountain Dog I ever owned and one of my imports from Belgium. Verushcka was imported from Slovakia and Dominique came from one of the finest Bernese Kennels in France!

On Baily’s mother’s side, Navy was also born and raised at SwissRidge. Navy’s parents are Isla and Odin. Isla came from a very well known and trusted breeder of Bernese in the US and her ancestry dates back to some of my original Bernese lines, and Odin was imported from a breeder in Europe.

When I say I know Baily’s pedigree, I truly mean it. I personally know over six generations of her family, have raised many of them myself, and have completed the health testing on those generations. These are healthy, well-tempered, family-oriented dogs that I have spent decades developing, and I’m incredibly proud of the consistency in these lines.

Baily has completed both our Puppy Imprinting Program and our Off-Leash Training Program, and she is an exceptional dog. She has a higher energy level and her confidence is off the charts. She will go up to anyone with a wagging tail, you could set off fireworks and it wouldn’t phase this girl. This wasn’t something we had to build her up to, it has always been who she is. From the day she was a puppy, she has been happy, outgoing, curious, and eager to be part of everything.

Baily loves everyone and when I say loves I mean LOVESSSSSS. It doesn’t matter if you’re a stranger, a child, another dog, or someone she’s known her whole life, Baily wants to be your best friend. Her tail is almost always wagging, she has the biggest smile on her face, and she brings so much joy wherever she goes. She has the kind of personality that lights up a room.

Baily is also incredibly intelligent and loves to learn. She is extremely food motivated, eager to please, and enjoys working with her handler. Lucas, our off-leash trainer, says, “She is one of the smartest and most willing dogs I have ever trained. She loves to work.” That pretty much sums Baily up perfectly.

She has lots of energy and plenty of drive, so she thrives when she has a job to do. Whether it’s obedience, agility, scent work, hiking, or learning new tricks, Baily excels at just about everything. She absolutely loves training and is happiest when she’s using her brain.

Although Baily is an active dog she has a very good off switch. She settles down in the home really well. Her favorite thing in the world is belly rubs. She’ll happily flop onto her back and stay there for as long as you’re willing to keep rubbing her belly! She’s also the type of dog who is perfectly content just relaxing with her family. She can hold a place command for hours and is just as happy lounging around the house as she is out on an adventure.

Overall, Baily is an incredibly social, confident, and fun-loving dog. She’s the life of the party, the first one to greet visitors, and the dog who wants to make everyone smile. She has an outgoing personality, loves adventures, hiking, and training, but she’s also happy relaxing at home when it’s time to unwind. If you stop to give her a belly rub, you’ve instantly become her favorite person. Bailey is the complete package and I know her puppy’s will be just as perfect if they are anything like their mom!
