Henley was born and raised here at SwissRidge Kennels, out of two of our incredible dogs, Leida and Nelson. From the very beginning, she stood out as a puppy with a calm, balanced, and gentle spirit. While many puppies go through playful stages of testing limits, Henley seemed to arrive in this world already knowing what was expected of her. She has that rare “old soul” quality. She is wise beyond her years, composed, and always tuned in to the people and dogs around her.

One of the things I admire most about Henley is how naturally well-mannered she is. She doesn’t carry a stubborn streak or that rambunctious edge that some puppies need to grow out of. Instead, she carries herself with quiet confidence and an eagerness to please. She wants to get it right, to do her best, and to make her people proud. Because of this, she has often been our “helper dog” when raising other puppies in the kennel. Younger pups look to her, copy her behavior, and learn from her relaxed presence. There is something very special about her energy. She is calm but assured, kind but confident and this rubs off on the other dogs in the best possible way. She is, quite simply, a fantastic puppy raiser.

Despite her maturity, Henley is still deeply affectionate and cuddly. She is happiest when she can curl up close, soaking in every bit of love and attention you’re willing to give. She loves being with people and thrives on that connection, whether it’s a quiet moment of snuggles, gentle pets, or just sitting by your side. There’s nothing needy or demanding about her affection. She gives and receives love in the most natural, easy way.

Henley is also a very quiet dog. She rarely ever makes a sound, which is one of the many things that makes her such a joy to live with. She enjoys playing with her dog friends and going on walks, but she is not a high-energy or hyper pup. Even on walks, she’ll trot ahead with excitement, only to plop down and relax until the rest of us catch up. It’s her way of reminding us that life doesn’t always need to be rushed, and sometimes the best thing you can do is pause, take in the view, and enjoy the moment.

With her temperament, I can easily see Henley excelling as a therapy dog. She has every trait you would look for in that type of work. She is gentle with people of all ages, patient, intuitive, and calm in a way that brings comfort and reassurance. She has the rare ability to sense what people need from her.

If I had to describe Henley in just a few words, they would be: smart, intuitive, kind, loving, and gentle with a beautiful, balanced energy. She is the kind of dog who makes a lasting impression on everyone that meets her because of her sweet personality. Henley has a heart that shines through in everything she does, and I know she will pass on her incredible temperament and sweet nature to her future puppies.

Henley has been fully health tested, and her health certificates are attached for your review. At SwissRidge, we complete thorough health testing on all of our dogs, including x-rays, DNA testing, and comprehensive physical exams performed by a licensed veterinarian to ensure we are breeding only the healthiest dogs who will go on to produce strong, healthy puppies.
