Maverick 20 lbs – 14” tall

Maverick is a stunning tri-coloured Australian labradoodle (ALD) from impeccable lines. She is a beautiful bundle of energy who likes to take control of the situation. She has been given the nickname Boss Lady because of her authoritative disposition at the kennel. Maverick is very obedient and when push comes to shove, she knows that her humans are in control of the pack.

Of all the dogs at the kennel, Maverick and Lulu have one of the closest connections and a sweet attraction to one another. Sushi is Maverick’s sidekick and they love romping around in the field together, always keeping each other entertained. Lulu is there to watch over them and keep order. All three of them sleep together, follow each other around, and are always touching or snuggled together. I think Maverick looks to Lulu as her bodyguard, even though she doesn’t need one…and if I were to pick a bodyguard, it wouldn’t be Lulu!

Maverick loves to run and play in the fields and go for walks. When you lie on the ground, she will crawl all over you giving kisses. The louder you giggle, the more kisses she will give you! If you roll over and lie on your stomach, she will lie on her side trying to wiggle her way through your hands to get to your face! She never runs out of affection, and is like a person in a fur coat. Even though Maverick can be a bit bossy, she is an affectionate and loyal companion.

Carrie

Carrie is a gorgeous blonde English golden retriever. She was bred at SwissRidge – her mother is Queen of Light, also known as Rosnay, who I personally selected from Ireland. Her father, Monty, is a Canadian champion who I imported from Spain. The lovely combination of these dogs produced Carrie, who upholds their beautiful traits.
When she’s inside, Carrie is very laid-back, but once she’s outside, she loves to play and is always up for an adventure. Her best friend is Kyla, her half-sister from Clea and Monty’s litter. These two are glued together! If Carrie is outside and Kyla is inside, Carrie will bark at the door until we let Kyla out. The same goes for walks. If we take one for a walk and the other one doesn’t come, they will sit at the door waiting until we let the other one out. They have such a strong bond.

Carrie loves people and, just like most golden retrievers, enjoys being close to her human companions and can sit for hours enjoying a good petting. She also loves her food! She is such a darling and has produced many wonderful puppies that have already blessed so many families.

Autumn

Mocha is an Australian bernedoodle from Juno and Levi. Juno is a beautiful Bernese mountain dog from Whitney and Daiko. Juno was in our breeding program for many years, producing many amazing puppies. She is now retired and living with a wonderful family. Whitney, Juno’s mom, who is nearly ten years old, still acts like a puppy and lives at my mother’s kennel. Whitney is my mom’s gentle giant. She is so obedient and walks perfectly on a leash. I’ve never heard her bark in my life!

Juno’s father is my beloved Daiko. After doing considerable research, I imported him, along with his sister Dyne, from Belgium. I have great respect for their breeder and have always been happy with the quality of their dogs. Daiko’s ancestors were checked for hip and elbow dysplasia? many generations back, and all rated the equivalent of excellent or good in OFA terms. Further to that, all of the dogs’ elbows in the lineage have been rated as normal.
One of our SwissRidge employees, Amy, fell head over heels in love with Mocha and would ask me day in and day out if she could train and socialize her. I eventually gave in and Mocha has lived with her ever since. She will be brought back to the kennel when it’s time for her to breed and deliver her pups.

Mocha is such a friendly, affectionate, and loving dog. She has a very happy disposition and will greet strangers with smiles and kisses. She is very gentle and excellent with children and other animals. She is adventurous and loves to explore. Squeaky toys like ducks and pigs are her favourite to chew and play with. She is excellent with commands such as sit, stay, and down, but will get easily distracted if she sees a person she wants to visit or a dog she wants to play with. She enjoys relaxing in her den, surrounded with her toys and snuggling with her sister Pheona. Overall, Mocha is an excellent dog with a one-of-a-kind personality.

Lily 125 lbs – 25.5” tall

Lily is a stunning Bernese mountain dog imported from France. She comes from a long pedigree of health-tested lines all free from hip and elbow dysplasia. All of the dogs in her pedigree are labelled “A” on their hip scores, which is excellent/good in OFA terms. There are over 30 championship titles in her three-generation pedigree. You know by looking at her that she comes from a long line of champions! She is such a stunning, well-built girl. The kennel I purchased her from not only tests their dogs for hip/elbow dysplasia, but they are also participating in studies to find the genetic marker for cancer in Bernese mountain dogs.

I couldn’t ask for a better dog than Lily. She has so much love to give to everyone she meets. With her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth, she joyfully greets you with the biggest bear hug and wants to be the centre of attention. Lily’s best friend in the kennel is Landon. They are two peas in a pod. They’ve grown up together, and Landon has looked up to Lily, following her every move and learning from her. Lily is the more outgoing of the two, and takes the lead as Landon follows behind. Lily is fearless and takes life by the horns. She loves life and it shows – she’s always so happy. There is never a dull moment when Lily is around. She keeps us laughing!

Willow 76 lbs. – 23″ tall

Willow is a golden mountain doodle, and a pure joy to be around. Her parents are Lazeeza (goldendoodle) and Henry (bernedoodle). Lazeeza’s mother was my beloved Ginger, one of my first golden retrievers, who passed away in May 2015 at the age of 17. It was heartbreaking to lose a dog who meant so much to me and to the SwissRidge family, but I’m thankful to have had her for 17 amazing years. Her loving soul lives on through her granddaughters Willow and Autumn (Willow’s sister from another litter), so we are still able to share these amazing lines with the world!

Willow is our gorgeous Supergirl who can do it all! She has a soft spot for smaller dogs, puppies, and children. She is a quiet soul who instantly draws you in without even trying. She has the kindest eyes that see right into your soul. You can’t help but fall in love with her.

She is a loyal girl and an exceptional mother. Her puppies are carrying on her legendary traits and disposition with the added bonus of exceptional colors and markings. Willow loves to go for long walks. She is playful in the gentlest way, and loves romping with the other dogs. She loves giving and receiving affection, but doesn’t demand attention. She is a very special girl and is loved deeply by everyone who knows her.

Autumn 60 lbs. – 23″ tall

Autumn is a stunning golden mountain doodle, and a pure joy to be around. Her loving soul lives on through her granddaughters Autumn and Willow (Autumn’s sister from another litter), so we are still able to share these amazing lines with the world!

Autumn is a young girl who radiates energy and love. Her favorite game is “catch me.” Sometimes I win, but it’s usually through bribery! She is so full of life that she makes me smile whenever I see her. She has a crazy tongue that hangs out the side of her mouth as she barrels full speed towards me, only to duck out at the last second. She is a very intuitive girl and if someone needs a buddy, she is there with plenty of kisses. Autumn loves children. She also loves chasing the water that sprays out of the hose; it is one of her favorite games. Her best friend is a bernedoodle named Harley. These two are very mischievous together, and both enjoy Autumn’s games. As much as they love to run and love adventure, they love cuddles so much more!

Zepplin 18 lbs. – 14″ tall

Zepplin is an amazing Australian labradoodle from a breeder friend whom I know and trust very well. Wookie, Kahlua, and Zepplin are all from this kennel.

Zepplin is such a gentle soul and one of the calmest dogs at SwissRidge. She never gets overly excited about anything. She may have a short burst of energy when she’s playing with the other dogs, but soon after will wiggle her way onto your lap and fall asleep, or heel perfectly beside you while you walk. She has been like this since the day I got her at eight weeks of age.

When we take the dogs for walks off-leash, I’m always looking in the distance at most of the other dogs romping and playing with each other, but Zepplin is nowhere to be found. I have to remind myself that she’s right next to me! Her temperament is such an amazing part of her, but also look at her coloring! She is one of the most striking dogs I’ve ever seen in my life. Her coat is a merle phantom. I have only ever seen a handful of dogs like this.

Before the SwissRidge Grand Opening, my dentist came to the kennel to visit the dogs. I only had about 15 dogs at the kennel at the time, but he met, played, and sat on the ground with all of them. When Zepplin saw him, she immediately crawled into his lap, gave him a few kisses, then closed her eyes and relaxed while he gently patted her. She absolutely stole his heart in a matter of 20 minutes! Now prior to my upcoming appointments, he reminds me to bring Zepplin in with me so that he can get his doggie fix.

I have a long list of people who would love to adopt her when she retires, but she’s a keeper. Everything about her is striking and I really look forward to sharing her amazing pups with the SwissRidge family!

Kahlua 20lbs. – 14″ tall

Kahlua is a gorgeous Australian labradoodle. She has the most beautiful chocolate merle color with a unique wave to her coat. Kahlua is so striking that she turns heads when she walks by. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had people comment on her beautiful markings.

Not only is she beautiful, but she also has the most sensitive, loving, and affectionate personality. Some dogs are like little people in fur coats, and if you’re lucky enough to have known one, you know what I’m talking about. Kahlua is just like that. It’s like she can see into your soul. She seems to understand everything I’m saying and she expresses her feelings back through her eyes.

Kahlua and I have an unbreakable bond. When we go for walks, she never leaves my side. Even if the pack runs ahead, she is right beside me. She never lets me out of her line of sight and is very attached to me. She loves the other dogs, but her affection for people is much stronger. She would rather be snuggled with me than romping outside with the other dogs.

Kahlua has discovered a love for the water. She will sit on a floating bed in the pool for hours, jumping in just to make a big splash. She has a fun-loving spirit and isn’t afraid to use it. She is such a joy to watch. Her personality, coupled with her gorgeous looks, makes her an absolute heartthrob. I’m so strongly attached to this girl that she will stay at SwissRidge with me long after she’s retired from our breeding program.

Winter 60 lbs. – 20″ tall

Winter, along with her sister Summer, is an English golden retriever who we imported from Germany from a breeder I know quite well. She comes from very long lines of health-tested dogs and her pedigree is packed with champions. I have acquired many English retrievers from this breeder over the years, and I’m never disappointed. These are top-quality dogs and Winter exceeds every one of my expectations.

Winter is a sweet and playful retriever! She always aims to please you and loves a good pat on the head or a belly rub. She avidly seeks affection and will jump up to wrap her legs around your waist or shoulders if you are sitting down. She plays really well with other dogs and people because of her compromising personality. She is calm and quiet and sometimes seeks solitude, but comes out of her shell when playing with her group of friends. She can’t resist fetching a stick when it’s thrown, and loves to frolic in the tall grass or snow.

Winter is as white as snow and loves making snow angels, which is where her name came from. She loves the outdoors and will bury her face in the snow and dig tunnels for hours! She is a wonderful companion with lots of love to offer. She is your typical calm, gentle, and affectionate retriever.

Sofie 76 lbs. – 23″ tall

Sofie is a golden retriever from superb lines. Everything a golden retriever breeder looks for in their show lines, she has. She is a solid dog with a beautiful head, a top straight line, an ample amount of feather, and an amazing gait. Her personality is fantastic! She loves kids, is playful and energetic, and loves to play fetch. She isn’t a lazy golden like some of my other ones. She likes to have fun playing with the other dogs and she is very social. She is the one I like to take running as she loves it and can keep up! She looks forward to it every morning!

She would be an amazing family dog for any family, especially one that is active and has kids who are always on the go. Her puppies will be similar in that they will be very social, happy-go-lucky puppies, always up for an adventure, and not shy or timid. They will have the personality that most families look for in a puppy!
