Ayhoka is a beautiful Standard Poodle bred and raised at SwissRidge.

I have always found it challenging to source poodles from other breeders that I felt confident incorporating into my program. I look for dogs whose parents have been health tested for generations, that have stable temperaments, and that possess the look and structure I value in my lines. Finding the right fit is never easy. Sometimes a promising pup falls short, health clearances do not meet my strict standards, the temperament is not quite right, or the dog simply does not develop into what I envisioned for my program. Some may say I am too selective, but I believe this level of scrutiny is what ensures the long-term strength and integrity of my breeding lines.

While I raise many puppies, only a select few ever make it into the program. Because of this, I decided to breed a litter of poodles for myself, pairing two of my most prized dogs, Coco and Crumpet. Their puppies turned out exactly as I had hoped, and I decided to keep the entire litter to see how they developed, with Ayhoka being one of them. This was the second litter I kept from this pairing, as I had already seen great success with their offspring in my program. For nearly a decade, this pairing and their descendants have consistently produced healthy, well-tempered, and loving family companions.

Ayhoka is the type of dog who can blend into the background and in the best possible way. She’s polite, well-mannered, never causes trouble and tends to be quiet and reserved at times. She is quick to listen and respond to direction and sets a good example for other dogs especially in how to gracefully follow a routine. She never causes trouble with other dogs regardless of temperament and is a part of the “good girls club”.

She is affectionate in moderation and does not need to constantly be showered in love and pets nor does she have the constant desire to give them. She is more passive towards new people and requires patience with forming new bonds. Ayhoka has a sweet and easy going personality and she has produced amazing puppies that my clients have been thrilled with! 

Ayhoka has been fully health tested, and her certificates are available below for review. At SwissRidge, we complete thorough health testing on all of our dogs, including x-rays, DNA testing, and physical examinations performed by licensed veterinarians. This ensures we are breeding only the healthiest dogs who will go on to produce strong, healthy puppies.
